NEWS
As the NBA Draft nears, the excitement around BYU point guard Jimmer Fredette is starting to grow.
A number of teams have liked Fredette since his college days, but it seems that his performance in workouts has only increased his stock.
The New York Knicks are among a number of teams that would like to land Fredette and could trade up to get him.
The Knicks are in need of a point guard, and it seems unlikely that they will be able to swing a trade for New Orleans Hornets star Chris Paul. ( Read More…)

New York Knicks general manager and president Donnie Walsh has announced that he is stepping down from those positions.
Walsh and owner James Dolan had a number of conversations, and eventually made a mutual agreement that he would no longer stay in those positions.
However, Walsh won’t be leaving the organization immediately, as he will work in a consultant’s role through next season.
Walsh did his best to turn around the Knicks, and certainly had some success by signing Amare Stoudemire and trading for Carmelo Anthony. ( Read More…)

The New York Knicks have finally landed All-Star Carmelo Anthony in a trade with the Denver Nuggets.
The three-way trade saw the Knicks send Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, a first round draft pick, two second round picks, future draft considerations and cash to obtain the forward.
While the move has excited a large part of the fanbase, there is plenty of concern over all that the team had to give up to get Anthony.
Amare Stoudemire isn’t worried, saying that he gives the Knicks two top scoring options that will make them very hard to guard. ( Read More…)

The New York Knicks are once again talking about trading for Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony.
The latest deal would involve a three-way trade with the Knicks, Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Knicks would acquire Anthony from the Nuggets and send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota. They would also send Wilson Chandler to Denver.
The Timberwolves would send a first-round selection and Corey Brewer to the Nuggets, but that might not be enough. ( Read More…)

Denver Nuggets star forward Carmelo Anthony said the New York Knicks are the only team with which he would sign a contract extension.
Anthony has been asking for a trade out of Denver, but so far the team hasn’t found a good match.
The forward’s latest remarks is going to make it nearly impossible to trade him because nobody wants him as a rental.
It’s really hard to make a deal with just one team in mind, as it gives them all the leverage in trade negotiations. ( Read More…)

Madison Square Garden is expected to undergo a major renovation project in the near future, which will include one-of-a-kind seating.
The plans include walkways that run above the arena where fans will be able to sit and overlook the basketball court.
The bird’s eye view will be one of a kind and allow fans to enjoy a unique experience that can’t be found anywhere else.
The one concern is over safety, especially with the recent deaths resulting from fans falling from different levels at sporting events. ( Read More…)

Former New York Knicks shooting guard Allan Houston is the favorite to become the team’s next GM.
He is currently functioning as the special assistant to the team president, giving him the inside track.
It’s good that Houston is gaining some experience, but I find it hard to believe he is ready for such a high profile job.
Isiah Thomas is also trying to return to the position and is considered another possible candidate. ( Read More…)

New York Knicks big man Eddy Curry was not present for the team’s play in summer league.
That doesn’t go over particularly well with head coach Mike D’ Antoni, who is expected a higher level of committment from him.
D’ Antoni said he is hopeful that Curry is working hard in the offseason and will come to camp ready to play.
It’s looking less and less likely that Curry plays any type of significant role with New York next season. ( Read More…)

The New York Knicks are the latest team to express interest in veteran center Shaquille O’ Neal.
The Knicks are just one of several teams that are now bidding on the multi-time All-Star and MVP.
Shaq’s days of being a dominant player have come and gone, but teams always have a need for a big body to bang around in the post. ( Read More…)
