Walsh leaving Knicks
New York Knicks general manager and president Donnie Walsh has announced that he is stepping down from those positions.
Walsh and owner James Dolan had a number of conversations, and eventually made a mutual agreement that he would no longer stay in those positions.
However, Walsh won’t be leaving the organization immediately, as he will work in a consultant’s role through next season.
Walsh did his best to turn around the Knicks, and certainly had some success by signing Amare Stoudemire and trading for Carmelo Anthony.
He has certainly laid the groundwork for a team that is probably just one more key player away from being a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference.
