Knicks go cold, give Pacers first win of season
A night after earning their first win of the season, the New York Knicks returned to their losing ways, falling to the previously-winless Indiana Pacers, 101-89.
New York was held without a field goal for the final 9-plus minutes of the game. And to compound matters, it allowed Indiana point guard T.J. Ford to go off for eight points in the final 3:12 to seal the victory in game it played without top forward Troy Murphy, who sat out with an injury.
David Lee was ultra-productive yet again, tallying 20 points and 19 rebounds in defeat for the Knicks. Al Harrington added a game-high 22 points off the bench.
New York actually held a one-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter before going ice-cold to ensure its fate.
